Role Profile
The Document Review Officer supports private bank clients within the Client Account Modification Team in the COO organization.
The role processes account modifications accurately and on time, handles enquiries, and escalates issues to senior colleagues when necessary.
The position is described as a senior team role with responsibility for guiding junior colleagues and supporting projects and initiatives.
Client and Business Responsibilities
- Review account documents submitted by Relationship Managers.
- Process client changes in circumstances and account amendments according to bank procedures and policies.
- Track document deficiencies and escalate them according to procedure.
- Provide service to internal clients, including Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers.
- Support information retrieval, remediation, process improvement, projects, and user acceptance testing.
- Guide and train junior team members and coach the BAU team in daily operations where applicable.
- Act as a subject matter expert for client life cycle management.
Regulatory and Risk Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate standards of honesty, integrity, due care, diligence, fair dealing, competence, risk management, and compliance.
- Ensure activities comply with relevant regulatory laws and internal policies.
- Work with Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders on documentation requirements.
- Perform CRS, FATCA, and QI quality control reviews and annual regulatory reporting.
Skills Requirements
- A degree with 5 to 8 years of related banking work experience is required.
- Strong client documentation knowledge in a private banking environment is required.
- Knowledge of CRS, FATCA, QI documentation, and annual reporting requirements is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of MS Office software applications and an aptitude for technology are required.
- The role requires multitasking, sound judgment, initiative, organization, time management, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Work Location
- The work location is Mumbai.
- The work arrangement is in person.
Position Details
The applicable rank is Associate Director.
The role reports functionally to the Team Lead of Document Review.
The region or division is COO / COO Asia.
The stated pay is ₹2,000,000 to ₹3,000,000 per year.
