Role Overview
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Claim Settlement Coordinator for GS Hub Baggage Services in Doha, Qatar.
The role provides administrative support and controls claims functions while maintaining service standards.
The coordinator supervises baggage claims activity across the network and handles claims files according to company policies and guidelines.
Operational Responsibilities
- Administer, review, evaluate, and settle baggage claims under company guidelines and international conventions.
- Monitor required customer documents, proof of purchase, investigations, and policy compliance for claim settlements.
- Handle delayed baggage compensation, declared lost baggage, damage, and pilferage cases across the network.
- Coordinate with Prorate Officers after interline baggage claim settlements.
- Guide stations on investigations and settlement authority, including cases within and above delegated limits.
- Assist stations with payment failure issues by directing them to the relevant Finance and IT teams.
Reporting and Controls
- Prepare claims settlement, rejection, and station performance statistics for management.
