Role overview
Supervise construction activities on site and ensure work follows approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality and safety standards, and the project schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Read and review engineering drawings and understand execution details.
- Supervise daily site activities according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor concrete works, reinforcement steel, footings, foundations, and structural works.
- Calculate and review quantities, payment claims, and costs for completed works.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Verify the quality and specification compliance of materials and executed works.
- Monitor the project schedule and progress percentage against the approved plan.
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, consultant, and contractor teams to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and applicable engineering codes and standards.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- At least three years of practical experience in construction and as a site engineer.
- Good experience in construction and building projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete, reinforcement steel, footings, foundations, and structural works.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and shop drawings.
- Experience in quantity calculation, measurements, and quantity verification.
- Good communication and coordination skills with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines.
Technical and professional skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of UAE construction codes, standards, and regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong commitment, discipline, problem-solving skills, and ability to make appropriate decisions on site.
- English and Arabic are preferred.
Employment and compensation
- The role is full-time.
- Pay is AED 4,000 to AED 8,000 per month.

- Work location is in person.
