Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor all microtunneling, pipe jacking, shaft construction and related civil works activities
- Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project requirements and applicable standards
- Verify excavation, shaft construction, tunneling operations, pipe installation, grouting, backfilling and reinstatement works
- Inspect and monitor piling installation to ensure location and bearing
- Witness and document inspections, testing and quality control activities in accordance with approved inspection and test plans
- Monitor line and level control, alignment, pipe jointing, lubrication systems and tunneling parameters during microtunneling operations
- Identify non conforming works and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, surveyors and utility stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate records of site activities
- Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Assist the RE in monitoring project progress and resolving technical issues related to microtunneling works
Requirements
- Associate degree or Bachelor's in technical/engineering discipline or construction related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in construction and supervision of microtunneling, pipe jacking, or trenchless technology projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, and project management software

Overview
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to perform difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks, inspect various facets of work on the jobsite and perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspect and monitor all microtunneling , pipe Jacking , shaft construction and related civil works activities .
- Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings , specifications , method statements , project requirements and applicable standard.
- Verify excavation , shaft construction , tunneling operations , pipe installation , grouting ,backfilling and reinstatement works.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Associate degree , or Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering discipline or construction related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required.
- 5+ years of related experience and technical qualification in construction and supervision of Microtunneling , pipe Jacking or trenchless technology projects
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software.
