About the Role
The Civil Inspector works in the Construction Supervision Department and reports to the Resident Engineer and Section Engineers.
The role conducts inspections on road and traffic construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, land boundaries, and contract documents.
The inspector coordinates with construction teams, engineers, and contractors to verify structural quality and material compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect construction projects for structural quality, safety, and conformance with specifications and codes.
- Inspect facilities and installations for environmental impact and conformity with design.
- Monitor construction materials, techniques, and installations for regulatory compliance.
- Measure dimensions and verify levels, alignment, and elevations against plans and codes.
- Maintain daily logs and photographic inspection records.
- Attend off-site and out-of-country inspections for materials, mock-ups, samples, and testing.
- Inspect delivered construction materials and confirm proper storage and protection.
- Coordinate survey control point information with the construction team.
- Inspect adherence to approved shop drawings and snag lists and maintain accurate activity information.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in construction inspection, quality control, or site supervision is required.
- Experience on roads or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and material specifications is required.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications is required.
- Basic proficiency with surveying tools and measurement techniques is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with documentation and reporting software is required; QA/QC software familiarity is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for commuting to the remote project site.

- The position is based at a remote project site and requires independent commuting.
