Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in administering operational functions of day to day activities on the project with respect to utilities works
- Coordinate with various government departments, contractors, consultants and public to facilitate progress and avoid delays
- Maintain logs of project progress, handing over and final accounts
- Arrange progress meetings for various utilities with service authorities and distribute records
- Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities related to the utility section
- Prepare instructions, specifications, reports and cost estimates
- Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and application of resources
- Direct, assist and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors
- Review and approve design documents and construction plans and procedures
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
- Keep necessary records and as built records and take charge of handing over utility works
- Identify non conforming works, generate reports and corrective actions, and coordinate responses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 8 years of experience in sewerage pumping stations and drainage work projects
- Experience in TAQA Water Infrastructure Projects is an advantage

Description
- The Civil Engineer will support and work on projects associated with Sewerage Pumping Station.
- This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.
- The role will be based in Abu Dhabi.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day to day activities on the project with respect to utilities works.
- Interact with contractor, sub contractor, and laboratory & monitor construction work on daily basis.
- Coordinate with various government departments, contractors, consultants and public to facilitate progress and avoid delays.
- Maintain logs of project progress, handing over and final accounts.
- Arrange progress meetings for various utilities with the service authorities representative, minute them and distribute the records as required.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities.
- Prepare instructions, specifications, and reports and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with the contractor engineers on scheduling and application of resources.
- Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the inspectors and surveyors as applicable.
- Review and approve Design document and construction plan and procedure.
- Prepare / Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports.
- Keep necessary records and as built records and take charge of the handing over of the utility works.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 8 years of experience in miscellaneous Sewerage Pumping Stations and Drainage Work Projects.
- Experience in TAQA Water Infrastructure Projects is an advantage.
