Civil Engineer

Role Overview

Technical and Design Review

• Review road geometry, pavement designs, drainage systems, utilities coordination, and traffic management plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction methodologies with design consultants, contractors, and construction teams.
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and temporary traffic management plans.

Site and Construction Oversight

• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, design compliance, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Supervise earthworks, asphalt works, concrete works, culverts, road furniture, and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor contractor performance against schedule, quality, and safety benchmarks.

Coordination and Risk Management

• Identify construction risks, nonconformances, and technical challenges and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, utility authorities, and suppliers to resolve technical and interface issues.
• Act as a technical interface between AtkinsRealis, the client, contractors, and relevant local authorities.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and review technical reports, inspection records, NCRs, correspondence, and progress documentation.
• Report project progress and risks to the project team.
