Position Overview

Qualifications

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or infrastructure planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation and implementation of the detailed master plan for the proposed township in Great Nicobar Island.
• Review and coordinate master planning, infrastructure and civil engineering requirements.
• Assist in planning and design of roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage, utilities and other infrastructure services.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, technical specifications and estimates.
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, government departments and other stakeholders for requirements and approvals.
• Conduct site visits and assess infrastructure, site conditions and development constraints.
• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, technical reports and project documentation.
• Monitor technical activities and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Support resolution of technical issues related to civil and infrastructure works.
• Prepare progress reports, presentations and technical MIS for the client.

Desired Profile

• Relevant experience with master planning, township development, urban infrastructure or DPR projects is desired.
• Good understanding of roads, water supply, sewerage, drainage and storm-water infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing drawings, BOQs, estimates, DPRs and technical reports.
• Experience with government, PMC or consultancy projects is preferred.
• Good coordination, communication and report-writing skills.
• The candidate should be willing to work in Port Blair.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with coastal or island infrastructure, seismic areas, large-scale township development or projects involving multiple government agencies is advantageous.
