Faculty Position

The university invites Ph.D. holders to apply for a nursing faculty position for the 2026-2027 academic year beginning in August 2026.

The faculty member will teach in the nursing specialization.

Instruction is conducted in English and Arabic, with a teaching load of 12 credit hours per academic semester.

Teaching and Instruction

  • Deliver research- and practice-driven teaching in nursing and related areas.
  • Apply pedagogical techniques that promote inquiry, critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and engagement.
  • Develop course materials, syllabi, learning activities, and teaching resources.
  • Facilitate professional nursing skills and competencies through appropriate learning activities.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices, clinical guidelines, and professional standards into teaching.
  • Conduct clinical, simulation, and laboratory-based learning activities where applicable.

Instructional Management

  • Manage the instructional process and maintain an effective, inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
  • Integrate digital technologies, simulation tools, and other educational technologies into teaching.
  • Ensure clinical and practical learning activities follow applicable academic and professional requirements.

Assessment and Curriculum

  • Evaluate student performance and grade work under approved assessment policies.
  • Develop theoretical, practical, clinical, and simulation-based assessments of knowledge and competencies.
  • Provide constructive feedback supporting students' academic and professional development.
  • Contribute to regular review and improvement of nursing curricula.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ph.D. in Nursing or a closely related field from an accredited or internationally recognized university.
  • At least 18 graduate credit hours in the required field.
  • At least two research publications in Scopus-indexed journals.
  • At least two years of teaching experience at an internationally accredited university.
  • At least three publications within the last five years.
  • A valid professional nursing license or registration is preferred where applicable.
  • Professional or clinical nursing experience is preferred.
  • Clinical teaching, simulation-based education, or nursing skills laboratory experience is advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of nursing theories, clinical practices, evidence-based nursing, and current professional developments.
  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing education, clinical teaching, and student assessment methods.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and review.
  • Ability to use web-based, simulation-based, and digital technologies in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent English and Arabic proficiency and communication skills for instruction in each language.
  • Ability to promote evidence-based practice, critical thinking, inquiry, clinical reasoning, and practical application.

Research and Professional Development

  • Actively engage in nursing research and related scholarly activities.
  • Publish peer-reviewed research in reputable and Scopus-indexed journals.
  • Seek research collaboration with faculty and external academic, healthcare, and professional institutions.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, conferences, training, and other professional development activities.
  • Maintain current academic, clinical, professional, teaching, research, and educational technology knowledge.

Advising and Service

  • Provide academic advising and guidance on curriculum planning, progression, professional development, clinical education, and career planning.
  • Identify students needing additional academic support and provide guidance or referrals.
  • Participate in university and college committees, task forces, working groups, accreditation, recruitment, and research administration.
  • Contribute to professional and community service and engagement with healthcare organizations and nursing bodies.
