As a Children’s Services worker you will be getting involved in lots of fun activities! arts & crafts, leisure activities, park visit, bowling and many more.
Providing 1:1 support in group activities.
Planning and executing activities and encouraging active participation across our group sessions.
Being a creative thinker and having a solution focused approach.
Using your skills, knowledge, and experience to meet the needs of young people.
Taking responsibility for the personal care and daily routines of the young people.
In this role, you'll contribute to our vision of ensuring safe and happy childhoods. To achieve that real change to vulnerable children, young people and families, there'll be certain qualities that you will have.
Our job description for the Community Short Break Worker outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:
A positive approach, providing a fun environment for all the children in our care.
Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices.
Creative, positive, and proactive approach towards work.
Confidence to participate in group work which supports children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing.
The ability to travel across remote locations.
