Young Person's Practitioner Guernsey

Working collaboratively with young people, you will develop individual action plans and invest time in building positive, trusting relationships that encourage personal growth, resilience, and ambition, helping them take meaningful steps towards a successful future.

How you'll help to create brighter futures

• Provide a high‐quality service to young people, centred on building positive, trusting relationships and supporting their development.
• Deliver evidence‐based, personalised interventions, offering support on a one‐to‐one basis, in small groups, and within classroom settings.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions to professionals and community partners, helping them respond effectively to the needs of young people.
• Maintain strong working relationships and effective communication with colleagues across the service, as well as with external agencies and partner organisations.
• Organise and manage daily work objectives, ensuring tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and to a high standard

Let's talk about you

In the role of Young Persons Practitioner, we're ideally looking for someone who has:

• Some experience of working directly with children and young people in one‐to‐one settings, small group environments, or classroom sessions, providing meaningful support, guidance, and encouragement.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding practice, with hands‐on experience applying safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people.
• Experience delivering targeted interventions and initiatives, including completing assessments, creating support plans, and conducting reviews to support positive outcomes.
• Is a Resident of Guernsey
