Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner
- Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure excellence in medical practice through continuous professional development of self and others
- Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner
- Perform administrative functions at the Department level as established by Medical Management
- Support Continuous Quality Improvement and develop appropriate standards of care
- Develop and implement work assignments, on call assignments, and vacation schedules for Department staff
- Supervise and monitor the delivery of health care by department staff and provide guidance when indicated
Requirements
- At least 3 5 years post qualification experience at Specialist level
- Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Certification and registration in a specialty recognized by relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
- Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or equivalent

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
- Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others.
- Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner.
- Performs administrative functions at the Department level as established by the Medical Management.
- Supports Continuous Quality Improvement. Develops and promotes appropriate standards of care.
- Develops and implements work assignments, on call assignments, and vacation schedules for Department staff.
- Supervises and monitors the delivery of health care by department staff. Provides guidance regarding patient care when indicated. Takes remedial action when appropriate.
- Develops and implements effective Peer Review. Provides annual and on going feedback as appropriate.
- Works closely with other concerned committees in developing policies and procedures to promote quality health care for psychiatric patients.
Qualifications
- At least 3 5 years post qualification experience at Specialist level.
- Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
- Certification and registration in a specialty recognized by relevant UAE healthcare authority.
