Responsibilities
- Review and prepare draft legislation in relation to RTA's roles and responsibilities such as Decrees, Laws & Regulations
- Manage arbitral procedures raised by or against RTA
- Review, study and evaluate contracts, agreements, and MOUs to meet RTA requirements
- Provide legal advice on issues related to Laws and legislations
- Prepare legal briefs; develop strategy, arguments, and testimony in preparation for presentation of case
- Conduct legal studies and provide recommendations for legal studies and projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university with minimum 11 years of working experience, OR Master's in Law with minimum 9 years of working experience
- 10 years of experience in Law Practice including Arbitration and litigation
- Goal driven leader with exemplary planning and organizational skills
- Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes
- Computer literate performer with extensive software proficiency

Job Description
- KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Results Accountabilities
- Review and prepare draft legislation in relation to RTA's roles and responsibilities such as Decrees, Laws & Regulations to present them to the supreme Legislative committee or the Executive Council for approval and amend the existing legislation as required.
- Recommend of Arbitrators nomination & Barristers appointments.
- Ensure that the legal correspondence are addressed and communicated as per the direction of the Unfired Claim Committee & Relevant Directors.
- Prepare acceptance or rejection of compromising settlement offers and find the best solutions and agreement.
- Apply legislations and develop proposals that regulate all services, draft agreements and memorandums of understanding, review contracts and respond to legal advice.
- Review, study and evaluate contracts, agreement, and (MOU) to meet RTA requirement and standard and minimize the risk and responsibility of RTA.
- Review and develop policies, procedures and methodologies relevant to legal aspect and provide observations and comments on them.
- Manage arbitral procedures raised by or against RTA up to preparation of all the required documents and presentations.
- Prepare legal briefs; develop strategy, arguments, and testimony in preparation for presentation of case when required.
- Recommend acceptance or rejection of compromise settlement offers from legal perspective.
- Vetting of Barristers memorandums, pleadings.
- Manage and prepare the necessary legal procedures relevant to Cases and Grievances and Arbitration filed by or against the RTA.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Law from a recognized university with minimum 11 years of working experience, OR Masters in Law from a recognized university with minimum 9 years of working experience

- 10 years of experience in Law Practice including Arbitration and litigation.
