Hr Director And Chief People Officer

Sector: Financial Services / Technology / Consulting / Any large enterprise

Location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Package: AED 700,000 to AED 1,400,000 total compensation

The Role

The HR Director or Chief People Officer is responsible for the entire people strategy of the organisation. This is not a transactional HR role. It is a strategic business partnership at the most senior level, requiring someone who can shape culture, attract world-class talent into one of the most competitive hiring markets on the planet, develop the next generation of leadership, and ensure the organisation is compliant, equitable, and genuinely a place exceptional people want to build careers.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive the people strategy in alignment with the organisation's commercial objectives and values.

Lead talent acquisition at senior level, ensuring the organisation can compete for the best people in a market where demand consistently outstrips supply.

Design and implement performance management, succession planning, and leadership development frameworks.

Champion culture and employee experience, ensuring the organisation retains the talent it works hard to attract.

Manage all aspects of compensation, benefits, and total reward across multiple GCC jurisdictions.

Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, KSA employment regulations, and DIFC or ADGM employment frameworks as applicable.

Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board on people-related matters.

The Person

A commercially credible HR leader with 15 plus years of progressive experience, at least four of which as HR Director, VP People, or Chief People Officer.

GCC experience is essential given the complexity of the regional regulatory and cultural landscape.

You will be equally comfortable presenting people strategy to the board and sitting with a line manager working through a difficult performance conversation.

Experience across high-growth, international organisations is strongly preferred.

CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent professional qualification is expected.
