Overview

  • We have been engaged by a leading global crypto exchange entering its next phase of growth as a multi product financial platform.
  • Our client is seeking a commercially driven Chief Marketing Officer to build and scale a world class global marketing function.
  • Reporting to the executive team, this role owns end to end marketing strategy across brand, growth, communications, and regional execution—positioning marketing as a core driver of user growth, engagement, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute global marketing strategy aligned to commercial and expansion objectives
  • Drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention across retail and institutional segments
  • Lead multi region, multi product marketing strategy, ensuring alignment across diverse markets and offerings
  • Own global brand positioning and deliver high impact campaigns, events, sponsorships, and partnerships
  • Oversee performance marketing across paid, owned, and earned channels, optimising through data, attribution, and experimentation
  • Establish clear KPI frameworks linking marketing activity to revenue, trading activity, and customer growth
  • Lead global PR, communications, and reputation management, including executive visibility
  • Scale social media and community ecosystems to strengthen brand presence and user loyalty
  • Partner with regional teams to localise strategy and execute market entry and expansion
  • Build and lead a high performing global marketing organisation with strong operating discipline

Candidate Profile

  • Senior marketing leader with experience in high growth, global technology, fintech, or platform businesses
  • Strong track record across social media, events, and sponsorship led growth strategies
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi region and multi product marketing environments
  • Highly data driven, with a clear methodology for using metrics, attribution, and analytics to inform decisions
  • Able to clearly articulate marketing effectiveness through data, performance metrics, and commercial impact
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable business outcomes through integrated marketing strategies
  • Strategic thinker with hands on execution capability
  • Effective at influencing senior stakeholders across regions and functions
  • Experience in crypto, fintech, or adjacent sectors preferred
