Chief Application Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Understand existing and new trading technologies at the bank and in the industry.
• Review, test, and deploy market data and order entry feed handlers.
• Develop small C++ and Java applications for day-to-day support activities.
• Provide day-to-day support for trading systems and all related components.
• Perform post-trade activities such as drop-copy processing.
• Work with internal partners and key vendors.
• Document support, maintenance, and reference information using existing tools.

Prerequisites

• Degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Java developer.
• Interest in working in the capital and financial markets environment.
• English and French are required for collaboration with colleagues outside Quebec.

Assets

• Working knowledge or experience with trading systems, EMS/OMS, or SOR.
• Experience with Perl, Linux, Python, or cloud computing.
• Knowledge of C++ or Java.
• Experience or exposure to data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
