Responsibilities

  • Monitor regulatory changes and business needs and assess their impacts on tax reporting, processes, data, systems, and controls.
  • Translate business needs into functional or technical requirements and coordinate implementation with development teams and partners.
  • Define validation strategies, coordinate or perform testing, and make recommendations before production releases.
  • Analyze processes and data to identify risks, interdependencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Own complex operational, regulatory, or technical issues and coordinate their resolution.
  • Monitor tax reporting cycles and lead post-mortem analyses to improve delivery reliability.
  • Improve processes and controls through new technologies, artificial intelligence, and automation.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and support knowledge development within the team.

Prerequisites

  • Master’s degree in taxation, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in financial operations, business analysis, taxation, or a complex regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax information slips is a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, problem-solving, autonomy, judgment, and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
  • English and French communication skills are required for frequent interaction with service providers and partners.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.
  • Ability to identify use cases for artificial intelligence, automation, and analytical tools is required.
