Role Overview

The Senior Analyst works in Canadian Tax Operations and contributes to the production, quality, and compliance of organizational information returns.

The team issues Canadian tax information slips for non-registered accounts, including T5/RL-3, T3/RL-16, T5013/RL-15, T5008/RL-18, and NR4 slips.

The role operates across multiple systems, large data volumes, reporting cycles, and strict regulatory deadlines.

Your Role

  • Own assigned activities and deliverables across tax reporting cycles and meet established deadlines.
  • Apply regulatory requirements related to tax information slips.
  • Analyze and validate financial and non-financial data for integrity, reliability, and filing compliance.
  • Resolve anomalies and operational, regulatory, or technical issues.
  • Process tax remittances and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Participate in testing and validation for regulatory, technological, and operational changes.
  • Improve processes, analyses, and controls using new technologies, artificial intelligence, and automation.
  • Collaborate with partners, answer advanced tax questions, maintain documentation, and share expertise.

Your Team

The Canadian Tax Operations team supports non-registered accounts across the organization’s legal entities.

The team works with internal and external partners and handles high-volume support requests during tax season.

Collaboration, versatility, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning are central to the team’s work.

Prerequisites

  • A bachelor’s degree in taxation, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax information slips is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a rigorous and structured approach are required.
  • Autonomy, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
  • Excellent written and oral French and English communication skills are required.
  • Interest in and ability to use artificial intelligence and automation tools is required.
