Role Description

  • The Chief Accountant is a full time, on site role based in Jeddah, responsible for overseeing all day to day accounting and financial reporting activities. This role manages the general ledger, supervises posting of journal entries, reviews reconciliations, and ensures accurate and timely month end

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations and month end/year end closing activities.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Inventory accounting.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial processes.
  • Support operational departments by providing financial analysis and cost control recommendations.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, government authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage VAT, Zakat, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, including significant operational accounting exposure.
  • Proven experience in managing end to end accounting functions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Professional certifications (SOCPA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) are a strong advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and support business operations effectively.
