Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely closing of accounts and month end/year end processes
- Monitor general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, customer accounts, and intercompany transactions
- Review journal entries, payment vouchers, and accounting records
- Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor budget performance and analyze variances
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity requirements
- Supervise accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments

Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
- Supervise accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms.
- Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Review aging reports and implement collection strategies.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and submit required tax filings and financial reports.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, and other applicable regulations.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
- Review payroll calculations and ensure timely salary processing.
- Verify employee benefits, leave settlements, gratuity calculations, and final settlements.
- Coordinate with HR regarding payroll related matters.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide accounting staff.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance.
- Provide training and support to finance team members.
- Promote continuous improvement in accounting processes.
Management Reporting
- Prepare financial reports, management reports.
- Present financial information and recommendations to management.
- Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Provide profitability analysis by project, department, or business unit.
