Job Summary

Position Details

• The position is full-time and located in the UAE.
• The role is within the automotive and car-trading industry.

Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and intercompany accounting.

Compliance, Audit, and Controls

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Maintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and respond to audit findings.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions.

Budgeting, Treasury, and Team Leadership

• Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and financial analysis.
• Supervise cash management, bank reconciliations, payment processing, bank facilities, post-dated cheques, and cash-flow reporting.
• Supervise and guide accounting staff, review performance, and provide training on accounting and IFRS.

Systems and Process Improvement

• Ensure effective use of SAP and accounting systems.
• Review accounting workflows and recommend process improvements.
• Support digital transformation initiatives related to accounting and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• At least 7–10 years of accounting experience, including supervisory roles, is required.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and accounting standards is required.
• SAP and Microsoft Excel proficiency are required; Power BI is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, analytical skills, leadership, and communication abilities are required.
