Job Summary
- The Chef is responsible for preparing and presenting high quality meals while demonstrating expertise in multiple cuisines. The role involves menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes from multiple cuisines, including but not limited to Indian, Arabic, Continental, Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine.
- Develop and update menus based on customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and business requirements.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor food stock levels and coordinate purchasing requirements.
- Maintain food cost control and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food preparation procedures.
- Inspect ingredients and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage special dietary requirements and customized meal requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of kitchen equipment and work areas.
