About Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the culinary brigade, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Develop seasonal menus and signature dishes that reflect the Clubhouse dining concept and guest expectations.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, portioning, and service delivery across all meal periods.
  • Manage food costs, labour costs, inventory, purchasing, and kitchen productivity to achieve financial targets.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency during both daily service and special events.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage team on promotions, member events, and culinary experiences.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to continuously enhance the dining experience.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop kitchen colleagues, supporting succession planning and career growth.
  • Ensure equipment, kitchen facilities, and work areas are maintained to the highest operational standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership culinary role such as Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury hotel, resort, golf club, or premium standalone restaurant.
  • Previous experience in upscale casual dining, clubhouse dining, or resort restaurants is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in international cuisine with experience developing seasonal menus.
  • Proven experience managing food cost, menu engineering, inventory, and kitchen budgets.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills with the ability to motivate multicultural teams.
  • Excellent understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred.
