Role overview
Manage the ship's galley efficiently and effectively.
Deliver quality meals to guests and crew on time according to the menu plan.
What you will do
- Maintain product quality, presentation, food safety, and consistency.
- Demonstrate a safe working practices mindset.
- Work and live in a small onboard environment for extended periods.
Required qualifications and experience
- At least three years of experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
- Understanding of food cost and portion control is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Excellent personal presentation, customer service, and passion for food are expected.
- Experience in the day-to-day running of a kitchen or galley is required.
- A Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is required.
- First Aid and CPR are required.
- A passport is required.
Qualifications to obtain
- Candidates may obtain an AMSA-endorsed Certificate of Safety Training.
- Candidates may obtain Crowd Control and Crisis Management training.
