About the Role
SEHA is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse for Interventional Radiography to provide professional leadership and supervision of the patient care team. The role involves managing clinical standards, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities
- Provides professional leadership and acts as a role model and mentor to fellow nursing staff
- Monitors clinical care to ensure clinical standards are met and identifies variances
- Coordinates interdisciplinary team activities to provide patient and family centered care
- Administers medications according to organization policies and procedures
- Responds to all levels of emergencies according to the organizations policies and procedures
- Participates in quality improvement activities and risk management
- Assesses patient and family education needs and provides education
- Monitors and coordinates effective utilization of human resources, consumables and equipment
Requirements
- NLT 4 years clinical experience post qualification in an appropriate & relevant healthcare setting
- NLT 2 years experience as charge nurse in a particular unit
- Knowledge of nursing scope of practice and regulatory body requirements
- Ability to lead and supervise a patient care team

Job Description
- Understands supports and promotes the mission, vision and values of Organization.
- Provides age appropriate patient care according to the Nursing Scope of Practice as defined by the regulatory body.
- Provides professional leadership through the supervision of the patient care team, and the maintenance of clinical standards and quality of patient care within the unit during their shift.
- Adheres to and promotes the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi.
- Promotion of health and delivery of health education.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional leadership and acts as a role model and mentor to fellow nursing staff.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and provides leadership in conflict management and problem solving.
- Promotes and supports a collaborative practice model.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and family centered care.
- Demonstrates a professional commitment to patients and fellow nursing staff.
- Adopts an interdisciplinary team approach based on mutual respect and direct communication between health professionals.
- Liaises with Nurse Manager/Nurse Supervisor to ensure the patient care load is addressed with the appropriate staffing and skill mix.
- Ensures the nursing staff works within their capacity, experience, training and scope of practice.
- Participates as assigned on committees, working groups and other organization activities.
- Acts as a preceptor to less experienced staff as required.
- Monitors staff performance, providing regular constructive feedback, coaching, guidance and support.
- Actively participates in organizational change in a constructive manner.
Qualifications
- Special Certificate: Required: NLT 4 years clinical experience post qualification in an appropriate & relevant healthcare settings
- And NLT 2 years experience as charge nurse in a particular unit
