- Lead the Department in implementation of departmental and organizational strategic plans and ensure adherence to policies
- Provide professional and clinical advice to the Chief Medical Officer related to ENT services
- Represent the Department in corporate and management meetings
- Oversee service quality, clinical outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support compliance with DOH, SEHA, and regulatory requirements
- Lead performance management, peer review, and utilization review processes
- Contribute to workforce planning and participate in recruitment and credentialing activities
- Ensure effective communication with consultants and allied health staff
- Oversee departmental budgeting and financial performance
- Manage patient feedback, complaints, and service recovery initiatives
- Promote patient satisfaction measurement and service improvement
- Maintain active clinical practice within ENT including outpatient, inpatient, and procedural care

- Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2
- Certified proof of yearly CME

Job Description
- The Chair of Department (Consultant ENT) provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for Otolaryngology (ENT) services across SEHA Clinics.
- The role ensures delivery of high quality, patient centered care while maintaining alignment with DOH, SEHA, and international healthcare standards.
- The Chair leads clinical governance, service development, workforce planning, and operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Leads the Department in implementation of departmental and organizational strategic plans and ensures adherence to policies
- Provides professional and clinical advice to the Chief Medical Officer related to ENT services
- Represents the Department in corporate and management meetings
- Oversees service quality, clinical outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supports compliance with DOH, SEHA, and regulatory requirements
- Leads performance management, peer review, and utilization review processes
- Contributes to workforce planning and participates in recruitment and credentialing activities

- Delegates duties appropriately and undertakes additional administrative responsibilities
Qualifications
