About the Role
Americana Restaurants is hiring a Central Quality Assurance Manager to lead and improve the Quality Management System across the organization. Responsibilities
- Align the Americana Quality Management System with ISO 9001 standards and review it periodically to ensure current policies are maintained.
- Oversee the Central Quality Assurance team and ensure alignment with company quality policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Ensure local regulations across the region and franchisor guidelines are implemented and aligned with the Americana Quality Management System.
- Analyze franchisor systems, identify gaps and redundancies, and agree on solutions to avoid duplication.
- Review non conformities from previous audits, support resolution of escalated non conformance reports, and monitor planning of supplier and restaurant audits.
- Address all QA related enquiries including product, raw materials, complaints, hazards, and governmental requirements.
- Develop proactive quality solutions by collecting and analyzing data, and establish quality assurance plans.
- Oversee calibration and testing programs and support training initiatives on the Americana Quality Management System.
- Ensure documentation and records are maintained in accordance with the Americana Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic and tactical quality assurance plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 10 years’ experience in QM/QA/QC in food sector: restaurant, food manufacturing or food processing.
- Minimum of 3 years in a commercial organisation management role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality and food safety standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRC.
- Hands on experience in audit readiness, non conformance management, CAPA follow up, and documentation control.
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and related processes.
- Proficiency in quality management systems, reporting tools, and related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at senior level and lead change initiatives.

Job Purpose
- Lead and continuously improve the Americana Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with company, regulatory, franchisor, and ISO requirements.
- Drive quality assurance governance, process effectiveness, stakeholder alignment, and food safety standards across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Align the Americana Quality Management System with ISO 9001 standards and review it periodically or whenever changes occur to ensure current and up to date policies are maintained.
- Oversee the Central Quality Assurance team and ensure alignment with company quality policies, standards, and guidelines, while developing central and market Quality Assurance Plans in line with the Americana Quality Management System.
- Ensure local regulations across the region and franchisor guidelines are implemented and aligned with the Americana Quality Management System, while addressing identified gaps and discrepancies.
- Analyze franchisor systems, identify gaps and redundancies, and agree on solutions to avoid duplication, particularly in the product evaluation system.
- Review non conformities from previous internal and external audits, support the resolution of escalated non conformance reports, and monitor the planning of supplier and restaurant audits to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- Address all QA related enquiries, including product, raw materials, complaints, hazards, and governmental requirements, and escalate them to the relevant stakeholders for timely action.
- Develop proactive quality solutions by collecting and analyzing data, and establish quality assurance plans through hazard analysis, identification of critical control points, preventive measures, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification controls.
- Oversee calibration and testing programs and support training initiatives for relevant stakeholders on the Americana Quality Management System.
- Ensure documentation and records are maintained in accordance with the Americana Quality Management System and are readily available for review.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic and tactical quality assurance plans that support business objectives and enable effective process automation and implementation.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Food Science, Food technology, Quality Management, etc.)
- MBA / Post graduate M.Sc. in Quality is an asset
Experience
- Minimum of 7 10 years’ experience in QM/QA/QC in food sector: restaurant, food manufacturing or food processing.
- Minimum of 3 years in a commercial organisation management role preferred.
- Extensive experience in working in the F&B business, with a QSR franchisee is a plus.
Job Specific Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality and food safety standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRC
- Strong understanding of statutory regulations, franchisor requirements, and internal quality policies
- Hands on experience in audit readiness, non conformance management, CAPA follow up, and documentation control

- Proficiency in quality management systems, reporting tools, and related software
- Strong capability in analysing and interpreting quality data, trends, and performance indicators
