Primary Purpose of the Job
Establish and administer long-term strategic purchasing of goods and related services from conceptualization through close-out.
Plan procurement activities to optimize cost and ensure timely availability of goods and associated services.
Collaborate with QatarEnergy affiliates and joint ventures to optimize the supply chain environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct spend analysis and control agreement lifecycles as the sponsoring department.
- Implement category risk profiles and analyze market trends for cost-effective material acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards, confidentiality, QatarEnergy regulations, policies, procedures, QHSE, and sustainability requirements.
- Apply tendering, problem solving, commercial evaluation, contractual concepts, and agreement strategies.
- Use project management techniques and assess financial implications in procurement activities.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic procurement and long-term agreements, preferably in an oil and gas environment.
- High fluency in English.
- Knowledge of international standards and manufacturers for oilfield equipment and materials.
