Job Overview

  • A well established and leading E commerce player in Qatar Market is looking to expand their commercial team.
  • Are you a data driven negotiator with a passion for retail and e commerce? We are expanding our commercial team and looking for a Category Buyer to take full commercial ownership of a diverse and exciting portfolio of categories.

The Portfolio You Will Manage

  • Family & Kids: Mother & Baby, Toddlers, Kids
  • Lifestyle & Personal Care: Beauty, Wellness, Women Focused products
  • Home: Appliances, Kitchen, Home Decor

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Relationship: Onboard and manage relationships with both local and international suppliers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate competitive commercial terms across different buying structures.
  • KPI: Drive monthly/quarterly Sales and Gross Profit (GP) metrics for your categories.
  • Inventory: Actively monitor stock turnover and manage ageing / slow moving inventory with aggressive promotional and liquidation strategies.
  • Marketing: Partner with our digital marketing teams to cook up exclusive brand launches, flash sales, and targeted campaigns.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of buying/procurement experience (E commerce or modern retail background is highly preferred).
  • Tech Skills: MS Excel skills (you should live and breathe Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
  • Communication: Flawless English communication skills.
  • Bonus Points: Arabic language skills are a strong plus (but not a dealbreaker).

Compensation

  • Competitive market standard basic salary + highly lucrative KPI driven incentive structures + standard company benefits.
  • Open to candidates on their own / husband’s visa, or the company can provide full visa sponsorship.
