Role Overview

Provide safe and timely patient care under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff.

Work within assigned scope and ability while supporting quality improvement in the healthcare setting.

Patient Care Responsibilities

  • Escort patients within the clinical setting and assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, transfers, and mobility.
  • Provide trained assistive care to tracheostomized patients under registered nurse direction.
  • Engage in appropriate play activities with pediatric patients under nursing and therapy guidance.
  • Support patients during physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions.
  • Monitor patient condition changes and promptly report concerns to licensed nursing staff.

Environment and Family Support

  • Maintain clean patient rooms and a safe environment conducive to recovery.
  • Communicate with patients and families, provide emotional support, and relay pertinent information to nursing staff.
  • Stock patient rooms and clean and maintain medical equipment as required.
  • Assist patients and families with housekeeping, laundry, food preparation, errands, and social activities.
  • Respond to emergencies and initiate assistance according to established policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

  • Certification in Nursing Assistant through a minimum six-month course, or nursing graduation without a home-country license.
  • At least one year of experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to work across departments when necessary.
  • Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider qualification.
  • Clear and effective spoken and written English communication.

Desirable Qualification

  • Effective Arabic communication is desirable.
