Role overview
Home Instead provides care visits of at least one hour to support genuine, person-centred relationships.
The role supports clients in their own homes across Selby, Goole, Castleford, and surrounding villages.
Pay and hours
- Pay is £13.50 per hour.
- Bank holidays are paid at double time.
- Mileage between clients is paid at 30 pence per mile.
- The role starts at 12 to 16 hours, with more hours possible as the rota grows.
- Guaranteed hours may be available after successful probation.
Availability
- Shifts are available between 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and between 3:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
- The role requires alternate weekend availability.
- Some flexibility is expected to support client continuity.
Care duties
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Support washing, dressing, bathing, and other personal care.
- Complete light household tasks.
- Provide medication prompts and prepare meals.
- Attend appointments or go shopping with clients.
