Role overview

The Capital and Maintenance Program Analyst supports business operations for Toronto Hydro capital and maintenance programs and operating expenses.

The role focuses on scheduling, data gathering, analysis, reporting, governance, process improvement, workflow automation, and decision support.

Compensation

  • The expected annual salary range is $90,810 to $113,512.
  • The target variable performance pay is 8%.
  • Final compensation depends on experience, education, training, and alignment with role requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain construction and design schedules supporting program management.
  • Analyze gaps and trends, determine root causes, and recommend solutions for programs and portfolios.
  • Prepare accurate reports on program delivery status and outcomes.
  • Lead process, tool, system improvement, and process mapping projects.
  • Coordinate program execution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify workflow automation opportunities using available tools and systems such as Alteryx.
  • Improve analytics and decision support using visualization software such as Tableau.
  • Create and maintain reporting applications, forms, and customized databases.
  • Monitor operations data periodically for quality assurance.
  • Support regulatory rate applications, interrogatory responses, and witness preparation related to capital and maintenance work programs.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Technology, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience across scheduling, analysis, reporting, automation, business process design, business intelligence, and performance management.
  • At least three years of experience in business process redesign, business project analysis, identifying improvement areas, and developing new initiatives.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Word.
  • Awareness of project and program management processes, principles, and methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop statistical tracking methodologies, dependable feedback systems, and performance measurement against quality standards.
  • Experience with process mapping and procedure writing.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau and Alteryx is considered an asset.
  • CBAP, Six Sigma, or Data Science certificates are considered assets.
  • PMP designation is considered an asset.

Work arrangement

  • The position uses a hybrid work environment with remote work permitted two days per week based on business needs.
  • Employees are required to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Candidates are expected to live in Ontario within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
