Job Description

  • Amazon is seeking a qualified candidate with a strong delivery record and proven project and program management experience to own strategic and tactical cross functional operations projects for FC Capacity Planning.
  • The role involves scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, mitigating schedule risks, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the FC capacity planning charter inclusive of FC capacity management and metric reporting.
  • Accumulate data from different sources, conduct analysis, recommend solutions, build action plan and drive execution.
  • Support FC Operations team across AMET with capacity analysis and drive capacity execution with supply chain stakeholders.
  • Foresee implications based on projected capacity requirement vs available FC capacity and come up with innovative storage solutions.
  • Regularly audit sites for operational conformance, norms of capacity planning and standard operating practices.
  • Work with engineering design and FC launch project team to ensure design inputs are considered.
  • Drive execution of critical capacity planning projects to enhance network capacity and optimize bin slotting changes.
  • Drive special projects for the region to meet business goals (e.g., low cost storage, new FC/DC launches, pop up node launches).
  • Problem solve with a high degree of ambiguity in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Collaborate and influence team members, work with internal and external stakeholders, present projects to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non tech teams.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management with multiple stakeholders at varied levels.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
