Position Overview

  • The Calibration Technician shall schedule and perform calibration of Critical and Non Critical Process Equipment and Laboratory Standards and complete all required documentation.
  • This position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This assignment is for short term only.

What You Will Do

  • Schedule and perform calibration of Critical and Non Critical Process Equipment and Laboratory Standards and complete all required documentation.
  • Coordinate repair and or calibration services with external vendors and assist with purchase order processing.
  • Implement new Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) related to internal calibrations and provide recommendations and revisions.
  • Participate in calibration system audits.
  • Provide responsive customer service and be responsible for staff certification training.
  • Conduct all maintenance activities in support of the UAE in accordance with standard US Army maintenance concepts.
  • Transfer knowledge to UAE military Calibration Technicians via on the job training.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must have a strong background in digital electronics and RF / Microwave.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in calibration of electronic equipment.
  • Must have a deep understanding of measurement, calibration, and instrumentation principles.
  • Must be meticulous and carefully follow established procedures.
  • Must be proficient in using computers and various software applications.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 6 years, or high school graduate with 8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Familiar with various types of measuring equipment and their operation, maintenance, and calibration requirements.
  • A strong foundation in mathematics.
  • Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
  • Experience living and working in an overseas location.
  • Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.

Salary Range

  • 86,800 USD 165,200 USD
