Job Description

  • The Calibration Technician shall schedule and perform calibration of Critical and Non Critical Process Equipment and Laboratory Standards and complete all required documentation.
  • The Calibration Technician shall coordinate repair and or calibration services with external vendors and assist with purchase order processing.
  • This position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This assignment is for short term only.

What You Will Do

  • Schedule and perform calibration of Critical and Non Critical Process Equipment and Laboratory Standards
  • Complete all required documentation
  • Coordinate repair and or calibration services with external vendors and assist with purchase order processing
  • Implement new Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) related to internal calibrations
  • Participate in calibration system audits
  • Provide responsive customer service and be responsible for staff certification training
  • Conduct all maintenance activities in support of the UAE in accordance with standard US Army maintenance concepts
  • Transfer knowledge to UAE military Calibration Technicians via on the job training

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Strong background in digital electronics and RF / Microwave
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in calibration of electronic equipment
  • Deep understanding of principles and concepts related to measurement, calibration, and instrumentation
  • Meticulous in work, able to follow established procedures and document work
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Familiar with various types of measuring equipment and their operation, maintenance, and calibration requirements
  • Strong foundation in mathematics
  • Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs
  • Experience living and working in an overseas location
  • Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years of relevant experience
  • Associate's degree in engineering or applied science or 6 years of relevant experience
  • High school graduate with 8 years of relevant experience
