About the Role
Boskalis is looking for a CAD Engineer (Modeler) to join their Hydronamic engineering team in Abu Dhabi, creating high-quality 3D models for infrastructure and dredging projects. The role involves developing 3D designs, reviewing models, and coordinating with design teams.

- Develops 3D designs, reviews 3D models, and creates models using software and other tools, methods, and techniques.
- Coordinates models to optimally facilitate the implementation of the geometrical designs.
- Reviews drawing specifications and reference designs and gathers all necessary information.
- Determines what needs to be modeled in each construction phase.
- Identifies interfaces, risks, and opportunities in the project model, assists with coordination.
- Advises and supports design and projects teams on technical aspects and inquiries, creates animations to provide insight into processes and constructions.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering, Survey or similar Bachelor’s degree level of working and thinking.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
- Knowledge of modeling software Civil3D in combination with SubAssembly Composer and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of CAD BIM standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Proficient in the English language.

Job Description
- As a 3D modeler, you make a difference by transforming your passion for infrastructure and dredging projects into high quality 3D models and detailed but pragmatically made 3D designs.

- You understand that project based work requires a balance between speed and accuracy; what you model will be constructed outside very soon.
- As a 3D modeler, you work in the Hydronamic engineering department.
- Hydronamic has a team of around 80 people in different design disciplines, working from the main office in Papendrecht, on projects and working from our new offices in Abu Dhabi.
- Hydronamic is responsible for the construction designs in tenders and acquired projects within the Dredging division of Boskalis.
- We have an opportunity within the same team for a senior, medior and junior levels.
Your Responsibilities As a CAD Engineer (modeler)
- Develops 3D designs, reviews 3D models, and creates models using software and other tools, methods, and techniques. Coordinates these models to optimally facilitate the implementation of the geometrical designs.
- Reviews drawing specifications and reference designs and gathers all necessary information. Determines what needs to be modeled in each construction phase.
- Identifies interfaces, risks, and opportunities in the project model, assists with coordination.
- Advises and supports design and projects teams on technical aspects and inquiries, creates animations to provide insight into processes and constructions.
- We will guide and coach you to work in our development toolchain and the Boskalis business, for you to quickly.
Your qualities
- Civil Engineering, Survey or similar Bachelor’s degree level of working and thinking.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience
- You have knowledge of modeling software Civil3D in combination with SubAssembly Composer and Navisworks
- Knowledge of CAD BIM standards, regulations, and guidelines
- Proficient in the English language.
