Responsibilities
- Develops 3D designs, reviews 3D models, and creates models using software and other tools, methods, and techniques
- Coordinates these models to optimally facilitate the implementation of the geometrical designs
- Reviews drawing specifications and reference designs and gathers all necessary information
- Determines what needs to be modeled in each construction phase
- Identifies interfaces, risks, and opportunities in the project model, assists with coordination
- Advises and supports design and projects teams on technical aspects and inquiries, creates animations to provide insight into processes and constructions
Requirements
- Experience in 3D modeling and design
- Ability to develop 3D designs and review 3D models using software and other tools
- Understanding of construction phases and modeling requirements
- Ability to identify interfaces, risks, and opportunities in project models
- Strong communication and advisory skills for design and project teams

Role Overview

- You understand that project based work requires a balance between speed and accuracy; what you model will be constructed outside very soon.
- As a 3D modeler, you work in the Hydronamic engineering department.
- Hydronamic has a team of around 80 people in different design disciplines, working from the main office in Papendrecht, on projects and working from our new offices in Abu Dhabi.
- Hydronamic is responsible for the construction designs in tenders and acquired projects within the Dredging division of Boskalis, often with an integral and multidisciplinary character.
- We have an opportunity within the same team for a senior, medior and junior levels.
Your responsibilities as a CAD engineer (modeler)
- Develops 3D designs, reviews 3D models, and creates models using software and other tools, methods, and techniques.
