Role Overview
Manage procurement and replenishment of aircraft spares, sub-assemblies, expendables, consumables, tooling, equipment, and local supplies.
Support uninterrupted aircraft operations through sourcing, supplier management, inventory optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process and expedite purchase orders for aviation parts, tooling, ground support equipment, and local supplies from approved suppliers and OEMs.
- Manage urgent Aircraft on Ground requirements to reduce operational disruptions and flight delays.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and logistics arrangements to achieve best value.
- Evaluate suppliers, maintain supplier relationships, and monitor performance against agreed KPIs.
- Verify airworthiness and traceability documents such as FAA 8130-3, EASA Form 1, and GCAA requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Finance on material, quality, and invoice issues.
- Monitor inventory, support replenishment planning, and maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide after-hours or on-call support when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in aviation or aerospace.
- Experience sourcing aircraft parts, consumables, tooling, and maintenance-related materials.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, airworthiness documentation, and certification requirements.
- Experience working with OEMs, authorized distributors, and aviation suppliers.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems such as Oracle, RUSADA, or equivalent.
- CIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Key Competencies
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during AOG situations and manage multiple time-sensitive requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting tools.
Workplace and Operational Support
- The role may require after-hours or on-call support for critical operational and AOG requirements.
- Frequent visits may be required to the warehouse and aircraft maintenance docks.
