Role Overview
Abu Dhabi Aviation is seeking a hands-on application support professional for business-critical enterprise systems.
The role supports an aviation MRO platform, an ERP implementation, and AI and automation initiatives.
The specialist acts as a technical resource between end users, vendors, and enterprise technology teams.
Systems and User Support
- Support, configure, test, and maintain enterprise applications for optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Manage the daily operation of aviation MRO software with Engineering and Maintenance and the vendor.
- Support ERP configuration, data migration, integration, testing, defect resolution, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Act as technical liaison between end users and vendors and provide first- and second-line support.
- Gather business requirements and document procedures, access needs, configurations, test cases, and user guides.
- Develop application enhancements, interfaces, and integrations and provide basic user training.
AI, Data, and Reporting
- Design, develop, integrate, and test AI-based solutions supporting ADA initiatives.
- Prepare, cleanse, and curate data for AI/ML use cases and identify AI-enabled improvement opportunities.
- Integrate AI, LLM, and machine-learning services and APIs into enterprise applications.
- Evaluate and prototype software and AI tools and support implementation of approved solutions.
- Build reports with Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS and write, optimize, and validate SQL queries.
- Perform statistical and strategic analysis to support business needs.
Delivery and Compliance
- Track open items to closure, provide status reports to the Head of IT, and escalate issues beyond the role’s remit.
- Comply with Information Security, EHS, ADA policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with completed technical and AI/ML certifications.
- At least five years of IT application support or enterprise systems support experience.
- Aviation sector experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting or implementing ERP systems.
- Experience with recognized aviation MRO software, including report and data-extract development.
- Practical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS.
- AI, ML, or generative-AI experience in LLM integration, automation, or data preparation, evidenced by certification or project work.
- Working knowledge of Veryon Rusada and Oracle Fusion, or comparable platforms.
