Role Overview
Abu Dhabi Aviation is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join its IT team in Abu Dhabi.
The role supports daily operation, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for network security infrastructure.
The engineer works with the Senior Network Security Engineer and wider IT and Network Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security events across firewalls, SIEM, WAF, IPS/IDS, DLP, EDR, and endpoint solutions.
- Analyse network traffic, security logs, and alerts to identify threats, anomalies, and potential incidents.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet.
- Support firewall rules, access controls, and Network Access Control solutions.
- Monitor DNS, email, and web security and support mitigation of security threats.
- Support vulnerability scanning, assessment, remediation tracking, and reporting.
- Support network security across Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud environments.
- Assist with incident investigations, evidence gathering, and post-incident activities.
- Support SD-WAN, voice gateway, telephony, and IP phone infrastructure from a security perspective.
- Maintain security documentation, licences, inventory, and lifecycle records.
- Prepare reports covering incidents, vulnerabilities, monitoring activities, and compliance.
