Business Systems Manager - Data Platform Engineering - 1 year contract

Role Overview

Overall Responsibilities

• Support BI technologies for planning, buying, and merchandising.
• Support SAP retail applications covering master data, pricing, costing, purchasing, allocations, inventory, replenishment, and markdown management.
• Lead requirements analysis and solution design, and complete Business Requirement Documents with business users.
• Collaborate with SI partners, review solutions, and guide delivery through all project phases.
• Manage projects from design through build, test, and deployment.

Functional and Technical Knowledge

• Expertise in retail planning, buying, and merchandising for omnichannel retail.
• Experience with SAP, BI applications, master data management, ERP, and third-party integrations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills focused on root cause analysis and preventive fixes.
• Knowledge of generative and agentic AI capabilities.

Technical Skills

• Design AWS cloud solutions and REST integrations using Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, ElastiCache, S3, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Use Oracle PL/SQL, Unix, Oracle Forms, shell scripting, and Oracle performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Retail Integration Bus for standard integrations between RMS, WMS, and SIM.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's, master's, or engineering degree in computer science or a relevant field.
• The source states 12–15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of retail ERP experience described as desirable.
• Experience integrating multiple in-house and external systems is required.
• Oracle Retail Functional certification is preferred.
