The Business Systems & Data Analyst translates business needs into system, data, reporting, and process solutions.
The role reports to the Manager, IT and supports optimization of Q&C business processes.
This is a full-time temporary maternity leave coverage role lasting 12 to 18 months.
Workplace and schedule
- The position is on-site five days per week.
- The role is identified as on-site maternity leave coverage.
Core responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Document and prioritize requirements, user stories, workflows, process maps, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Configure, test, validate, and support business application changes through governance processes.
- Support ERP requirements, fit-gap analysis, configuration, UAT, and training.
- Coordinate dashboards, reports, KPIs, datasets, and analytical views using Power BI, Excel, SQL, or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with vendors and technical teams on application issues and functional enhancements.
- Support UAT, end-user computing, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity activities.
- Develop work aids that improve efficiency, effectiveness, data quality, and decision-making insights.
Experience and education
- Three to five years of experience is required for the work.
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business systems, data analytics, engineering, or equivalent industry experience is required.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, and supporting system enhancements is required.
- Experience with enterprise applications, ERP systems, integrations, APIs, reporting platforms, or workflow automation tools is required.
- Experience in regulated or complex operational environments is required.
Technical qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Power BI, and SQL is required.
- ERP functional support, with Acumatica preferred, is required.
- Proficiency with SaaS architecture and support is required.
- Candidates should be willing and capable of learning new applications and technologies.
- ITIL Foundation, Microsoft, and DevOps certifications, and BABOK knowledge, are nice to have.
Work expectations
The role requires independent work and participation in project implementation teams.
The role involves managing multiple projects, strong organization, attention to detail, and business risk-benefit analysis.
Networking and relationship-building skills are expected to support current and future business needs.
Compensation
- The salary range is CAD 75,000 to CAD 85,000 annually.
- Annual salary depends on experience, skills, knowledge, and qualifications relevant to the role.
