About Blue Peak Ventures

Blue Peak Ventures is a Canadian-based, founder-led real estate company focused on complex residential properties in South Carolina, USA.

The company works on properties affected by unresolved estates, missing heirs, title issues, liens, foreclosures, disputed documents, or occupant situations.

The business is building systems, processes, and standards for handling complex work consistently as it grows.

The Role

The Business Operations Manager owns the operating system connecting the business and makes the pipeline, priorities, handoffs, and follow-up visible.

This is a hands-on operations and project-management role for an experienced operator, without responsibility for managing a large hierarchy or specialized legal, transaction, sales, or development work.

The role has authority to recommend and approve operational tools, software, and systems within defined company parameters.

The role does not own the founder's calendar or inbox, individual deal files, payoffs, notary bookings, closings, legal filings, underwriting, offer pricing, marketing execution, or difficult seller and occupant conversations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own a reliable active-deal pipeline view showing stage, owner, blocker, next action, and escalation point.
  • Create KPI scorecards, assign metric ownership, and facilitate the weekly pipeline meeting.
  • Define cross-functional routing, ownership, escalation paths, and handoffs across business functions.
  • Bridge business needs and the development team through priorities, backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery follow-through.
  • Manage stalled or unsold properties with ageing alerts, review rhythms, and ownership visibility.
  • Create SOPs, checklists, templates, dashboards, triggers, and automation, and ensure teams adopt them.
  • Coordinate with the Founder and CEO through weekly planning, operating check-ins, and written follow-up.

About You

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, technical project or program management, systems implementation, or a comparable role.
  • Experience working in a small or scaling business where processes were not fully built.
  • Strong software or technical-systems background and comfort working with developers and technical vendors.
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical priorities, manage a backlog or sprint cadence, and hold delivery processes together.
  • Experience building or materially improving a pipeline tracker, KPI scorecard, workflow, SOP library, handoff system, alert, or recurring operating meeting.
  • Fluency with work-management, documentation, reporting, automation, AI tools, and judgment around human review and confidentiality.
  • Ability to hold business context, surface risks early, manage competing viewpoints, and maintain accountability.

Education and Credentials

  • A degree, diploma, or relevant certification is welcome but not required; demonstrated operating judgment, technical fluency, and results matter more.

Success Milestones

Within the first 45 days, active deals should have a trusted source of truth showing stage, owner, blocker, next action, and escalation point.

Within the first 45 days, the principal routing, development, and disposition bottlenecks, including aged inventory, should be identified.

Within 60 days, the weekly pipeline meeting should run dependably without the Founder and CEO facilitating it.

Within 60 days, department scorecards, a visible development backlog and sprint process, and documented core checklists and handoffs should be in use.

At 90 days, routine cross-functional questions should route through clear systems and stalled work should be visible before becoming an emergency.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This is a permanent, full-time Canadian employee role performed remotely from anywhere in Canada.
  • The base salary range is CAD 100,000 to CAD 125,000 per year, with the final offer reflecting experience, demonstrated capability, and role needs.
  • Benefits include paid time off, statutory holidays, required work equipment, and reimbursement for approved work-related expenses.
  • A health-care benefit is being introduced, with details confirmed during the offer process.

Application Process

  • The process includes an introductory conversation, a practical exercise, interviews, professional reference checks, and other job-related verification with candidate knowledge and consent.
