Business Development Lead role in the power generation sector in Abu Dhabi.
Supports identification, technical evaluation, and development of generation opportunities across local and international markets.
Business development and evaluation
- Evaluate power generation and investment opportunities from technical and commercial perspectives.
- Conduct market assessments, feasibility reviews, and technical analysis for developments, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Support technical due diligence, investment assessments, and project business cases.
- Evaluate EPC, OEM, and O&M solutions, including technical risks and cost considerations.
Stakeholder and investment support
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Asset Management, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare investment proposals, memoranda, and recommendations for senior management and investment committees.
- Engage with EPC contractors, OEMs, technical advisors, and other external stakeholders.
- Support project development workstreams through bidding, development, and potential deal closing.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- At least six years of relevant experience in business development, project development, project management, or technical-commercial roles.
- Strong exposure to power generation or energy projects.
- Understanding of project development, EPC, and O&M considerations.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Advantageous experience
- CCGT, gas-fired, or thermal power generation project experience is highly advantageous.
- Experience with an IPP, power developer, utility, OEM, or major EPC contractor is advantageous.
- UAE, GCC, or international project exposure is advantageous.
