Salary

  • The salary range is CAD 38.88 to CAD 55.89 per hour.

Job Summary

The Business Analyst supports regional home and community care, primary health care, and regional care integration.

The role applies health economics, data extraction, data manipulation, and analysis to support evidence-based clinical and operational decisions.

The analyst develops reporting requirements and strategic documents using clinical, financial, human resource, and operational data.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate data collection and production of performance metric reports and evaluation measures.
  • Verify data accuracy, consistency, and integrity with project and work team leads.
  • Analyze financial, human resource, clinical, and operational data and provide advice.
  • Document data quality issues and recommend improvements to data collection and reporting.
  • Advise on automated tools, future requirements, and improved work processes.
  • Prepare briefing papers, confidential business cases, strategic reports, and operational or clinical reviews.
  • Support information system implementation and respond to data requests.
  • Develop annual performance plans and participate in committee meetings.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
  • Five to seven years of recent related experience in decision support, data analysis, and/or health care management is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Professional and Technical Capabilities

  • Knowledge of the health care system, health care disciplines, health economics, and statistics is required.
  • Ability to analyze clinical, administrative, and financial data is required.
  • Understanding of relational and multidimensional database concepts is required.
  • Ability to operate related equipment and applicable software applications is required.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties is required.
