About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform complex analyses to produce reporting on various funds and fund related activity
- Develop and document processes and standards for expense management
- Investigate and perform complex calculations pertaining to tiered fees, scaled fees, rebates, personal rates of return, and blended discount calculations
- Provide system support and troubleshooting for Salesforce, Seismic, MicroStrategy, including mobile versions
- Contribute toward defining and meeting team goals and investigating methods of increasing productivity and accuracy
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding Alternative Products, Specialty Programs, Management Fee & Management Fee Rebate business processes
- Work with the Dynamic Sales team and back office support functions
- Develop and administer software tools to identify the need for adding controls to external departments' business processes
- Stay abreast of operational impacts and regulatory updates
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent College Diploma
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Access & Excel)
- Proficiency with a BI Tool (preferably Microstrategy)
- Experience with the mutual fund / financial services industry
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Completion of IFIC operations and/or CSC is an asset
- Knowledge of industry databases (e.g., ifast FundSERV) is an asset

Purpose
- The Business Analyst is responsible for using sophisticated analytics and reporting to identify operational impact and efficiency gains on Dynamic Funds activities and initiatives.
- The Business Analyst will help lead projects supporting new business activities to increase sales quality of output.
Reporting and Analysis
- Performs complex analyses to produce reporting on various funds and fund related activity.
- Develops and documents processes and standards for expense management.
- Investigates and performs complex calculations pertaining to tiered fees, scaled fees, rebates, personal rates of return and blended discount calculations.
- Provides system support and troubleshooting for Salesforce, Seismic, MicroStrategy, including mobile versions.
Business Process and Continuous Improvement
- Contributes toward defining and meeting team goals that align to corporate goals.
- Provides subject matter expertise regarding Alternative Products, Specialty Programs, Management Fee & Management Fee Rebate business processes.
- Works with the Dynamic Sales team and back office support functions.
- Contributes to streamlining processes regarding exception requests.
- Develops and administers software tools to identify the need for adding controls.
Regulatory Impact Awareness
- Works with dealers/clients and Operational groups to support platform level processes.
- Remains current on regulatory updates through regular communications with Compliance.
- Conducts preemptive analysis of changes from regulatory bodies such as IIROC/MFDA/AMF.
Skills
- University Degree or equivalent College Diploma
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Access & Excel)
- Proficiency with a BI Tool (preferably Microstrategy)
- Experience with the mutual fund / financial services industry
- Completion of IFIC operations and / or CSC an asset
