We’re looking for an experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join our workshop team based at Perth Airport, WA.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity working on our transport fleet and workshop equipment. You’ll carry out welding, fabrication and repair work across a range of heavy vehicles and equipment, including rigid trucks, prime movers and trailers.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity working on our transport fleet and workshop equipment. You’ll carry out welding, fabrication and repair work across a range of heavy vehicles and equipment, including rigid trucks, prime movers and trailers.
Full-time permanent position
5 days per week
12-hour shifts
Carry out welding and fabrication repairs on heavy vehicles, trailers and transport equipment.
Perform oxy, arc and MIG welding.
Complete mechanical and pneumatic repairs where required.
Inspect equipment, identify faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
Carry out fabrication and modification work in line with workshop requirements.
Complete job cards and accurately record work performed and parts used.
Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and wider maintenance team.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
Follow all WHS procedures, including hot-work and risk-assessment requirements.

Support and mentor apprentices and Trades Assistants where required.
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, Welding Trade or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant trade experience.
Strong welding and fabrication skills.
Experience working in a workshop environment.
Heavy vehicle, trailer or transport equipment experience highly regarded.
Good understanding of mechanical principles.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
