Responsibilities
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Welcome guests, take orders, answer menu questions, and make recommendations
- Set up and break down bar station, wash glassware, wipe counters, and prep garnishes and mixers
- Operate POS system, process payments, split checks, and balance cash drawer
- Monitor liquor, beer, wine, and supply levels, restock shelves and coolers, and report low inventory
- Check IDs, monitor guest intoxication levels, and cut off service when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience as a bartender or bartender apprentice (barback) in a fast paced hospitality environment
- Valid Mixology, Bartending or wine certification
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
- High proficiency with POS systems and basic math for processing transactions
- Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, lift heavy items up to 50 lbs

Description
- A Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation & Mixology: Crafting cocktails, pouring wine and beer, and preparing non alcoholic drinks according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Guest Service & Hospitality: Welcoming guests warmly, taking food and drink orders, answering questions about the menu, making recommendations, and building rapport with regulars.
- Bar Operations & Maintenance: Setting up and breaking down the bar station. This includes washing and sanitizing glassware, wiping down counters, and prepping garnishes, ice, and mixers.
- Financial Transactions: Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, processing cash, credit card, and mobile payments, splitting checks accurately, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Inventory & Restocking: Monitoring liquor, beer, wine, and supply levels throughout the shift, restocking shelves and coolers, and reporting low inventory to management.
- Responsible Alcohol Service: Checking guest IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age, monitoring guest intoxication levels, and safely cutting off service when necessary.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience: Previous experience as a bartender or bartender apprentice (barback) in a fast paced hospitality environment.
- Certifications: Valid Mixology, Bartending or wine certification
- Skills: Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine. High proficiency with POS systems and basic math for processing transactions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, lift heavy items like ice buckets and kegs (up to 50 lbs), and move quickly in tight spaces.
