Role Overview
The Barista prepares and serves high-quality coffee, beverages, and light refreshments while providing friendly and professional service.
The role supports a welcoming guest experience and maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other menu items.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely.
- Maintain beverage quality, taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Welcome guests, take accurate orders, and provide menu recommendations.
- Handle cash, card payments, and billing according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, service area, and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or supply requirements.
- Follow storage, labeling, rotation, food safety, hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
- Respond professionally to guest requests and feedback.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and stock-taking duties.
- Work cooperatively with the Food and Beverage team for smooth service.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous Barista experience in a hotel, café, or restaurant is preferred.
- Good knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is required.
- Basic knowledge of espresso-making techniques and equipment is required.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills are required.
- Candidates should present professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
- Candidates should work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is required.
- Reliability, hard work, and willingness to learn are expected.
