Overview
- Operate and manage the barge safely and efficiently.
- Navigate the vessel in accordance with maritime regulations and company procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate barge crew activities and ensure effective teamwork onboard.
- Oversee cargo handling operations and ensure proper loading/unloading practices.
- Ensure the barge, machinery, and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Identify, report, and where possible, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the vessel at all times.
- Keep accurate records and logs related to:Cargo,Fuel consumption,Vessel movements and journeys &Maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with management, marine operations teams, and crew members.
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations and ensure safety procedures are followed.
